Stephen McDaniel has over 20 years of experience as a teacher, consultant, leader, innovator and author in the fields of visual analytics, business intelligence, data warehousing and data mining. He is co-author of “Rapid Graphs with Tableau Software“, “SAS for Dummies“ and is on the faculty of the American Marketing Association and TDWI. As a Tableau Certified Premier Trainer, Stephen co-authored the original Complete Tableau Training program and has taught at a wide variety of companies, conferences and cities. Eileen McDaniel is co-founder of Freakalytics and a consultant, educator and editor of works in visual analytics. She is lead author on the upcoming book "The Accidental Analyst: Show Your Data Who's Boss", and has published white papers on applied marketing analytics with Freakalytics and Tableau Software. She is co-author of “Rapid Graphs with Tableau Software 6“ and a reviewer of “SAS for Dummies“. As a Tableau Certified Professional and a Tableau Certified Premier Trainer, Eileen co-authored the original Complete Tableau Training program, the Dashboard Design course taught at Tableau Conferences and “The Rapid Dashboards Reference Card“.
Eileen is passionate about helping people generate relevant, actionable and broadly accessible visual analytic insights to help improve business decision-making. She has an MBA Certificate in Marketing Analytics from the the University of Washington- Seattle and a Ph.D. in Ecology from UNC- Chapel Hill. Her Ph.D. research focused on the intersection of applied social and environmental sciences, developing practical yet effective management solutions that united the community, environmental managers and scientists to improve resource management.
