Rapid Dashboards Reference Card- Tip 1 of 64- Pie Charts

Inferior to bar charts. Compact size makes them useful in maps. Avoid using negative measures or more than 6-8 categories. Consider sorting the slices in descending order. Use an “other” category for the less frequent items if there are more than 6-8 slices.
